Urge CMS to Stop Devastating Cuts to Physical Therapy
Specialty healthcare providers are a vital safety net for Medicare patients who rely on them to stay moving, control their pain and treat their chronic conditions. Despite the enormous value of these healthcare services, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) plans to make significant payment cuts to 33 specialty services on January 1, 2021 – including deep, across-the-board 9% payment cuts to physical and occupational therapy.
These cuts threaten to limit patient access to care and drive countless healthcare practices out of business. America’s specialty healthcare providers cannot withstand dramatic payment cuts on top of the significant financial impact and increased costs caused by the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Medicare should NOT be cutting healthcare payments in the middle of a healthcare crisis!
Fortunately, there is still time to #FightTheCut. CMS needs to hear from physical therapists like you about our concerns regarding this drastic 9% cut before the comment period closes on October 5. Submit a letter now!
